In association with Pants to Poverty, Front Row Society is calling all doodlers, scribblers, illustrators, painters, designers and lovers of beautiful pants!

Front Row Society and Pants to Poverty are looking to raise money through new designs of gorgeous pants to help their new cotton seed and child education program in India with the farmers who grow the cotton used in their pants! The designs will be emblazoned on their stunning new “Explosion of the senses” collection.

How it works

To enter the competition each designer must submit designs representing one of the five senses.

Five designs representing each of the senses will be voted for online by participants and the winning designs will be printed on both men’s and women’s pants to poverty classic pants. £5 pounds of each sale will go towards supporting the farmer projects in India.

FRS and PTP will take the highest average score and the number of votes into account. Then the FRS and Pants to Poverty’s design panel chooses the winner from the list of top 10. The designer with the most votes will win a trip to India to come and party with the farmers for their harvest festival in 2012.

The winning design will also be invited to receive 10% of the sales revenue from the pants on which their pattern has been printed. The remaining four designers will also receive 10% of the sales revenue from the pants.

The designs need to be in the form of a placement print, a two or three colour print, and will be printed on a plain background.

FRS and Pants to Poverty will also conduct an interview with the winner, publicising their design across the international blogger community, the international fashion & design press, community members and to the fashion community both in Berlin and the world.

Our senses are the means by which we all see, hear, smell, taste, touch and understand the world around us. They can evoke old memories, nostalgia and take us to another time and place. A snippet of a song can send you back to a long lost time and a taste of spice can spirit you away to far away distant lands.

In the unlikely event that PTP and FRS cannot produce your pattern the way you designed it we will communicate with you about alterations. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that the winning design is accurately produced. Front Row Society and Pants to Poverty will select a winner from the ten designs that receive the highest scores.

Designs must be original and not have been entered in other competitions.
