Information
Front Row Society scarves are one-of-a-kind pieces with only 100 limited edition scarves being produced and sold. Each winner of a design competition at Front Row Society is invited to receive 10% of the sales revenue from the product on which their pattern has been printed. Alternatively, the winner has the option of taking a one-off immediate prize of $590 /€ 450 /£ 380.
We will also conduct an interview with the winner, publicising their design across the international blogger community, the international fashion & design press, Front Row Society community members and to the fashion community in Berlin.
FRS takes the average score and the number of votes into account. We take the top 10 designs with the highest average. We also make sure that the top 10 designs have received a significant number of votes. Then the FRS’ design panel chooses the winner from this list.
And please keep in mind and give us a hand: have all your files ready in case you’re lucky enough to get a whooping email from us saying you’re (one of) the winner, and send them our way within two days of the announcement.
So, you’re wondering what we need…easy peasy:
- High res jpeg 250-300 dpi at full scale (which is provided in the design package)
- Pantone breakdown of colors
- Repeat pattern if using that method (instead of fixed)
- Description of your inspiration – to be printed as the inspiration cards
- Your digital signature for our inspiration cards (that go along with your winning design)
Theme
With Spring on its way, nature is coming back to life. There was a time before our cities owned the land that nature was free. Before concrete was poured to set the foundation of skyscrapers, before asphalt covered the earth to pave the streets, and before iron fences were positioned to enclose and separate nature from infrastructure. Nature is strong and somehow manages to peek through; branches climbing the facades and flowers blooming through sidewalks. How do nature and the infrastructure of your city intertwine?
Please open every document in the design brief to assure you are following all the requirements
Moodboard
In the unlikely event that we cannot produce your pattern the way you designed it we will communicate with you about alterations. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that the winning design is accurately produced. Front Row Society will select a winner from the ten designs that receive the highest scores.
Designs must be original and not have been entered in other competitions.
